Tip #28 - Select a word, then use Alt + L/R arrow to slide it
Although this is mentioned in the manual, you may have not noticed this handy feature in MusEdit which is most useful when lining up lyrics under music in a treble or tab staff...
To slide a word or group of words left or right within a text line first select it/them: for a single word simply double click on the word to select it; for a group of words use Shift+Right Arrow to extend the selection one character at a time, or use Shift+Ctrl+Right Arrow to extend the selection a whole word at a time (then use Shift+Left Arrow to remove ending spaces from the selection).
After the word(s) are selected, simply hit Alt+L/R Arrow to slide the selection left or right within the line. "Sliding" means the words in the selection move, but words to the right or left of the selection stay in place. This is easier than adding spaces in front of some words (which will shift ALL remaining words in the line to the right), then going to the end of the words to remove excess spaces to restore the original position of "downstream" words.
