Tip #26 - Don't be reluctant to use landscape orientation when printing
It's easy to get into the habit of always using "portrait" orientation (tall and narrow) when printing out your MusEdit scores, but sometimes "landscape" orientation (sideways) really does work best. This is especially true when you want to fit a lot of music on a staff line but you find that when you go to print it out you have to use a small printing size to fit it onto a page. The music may fit much more comfortably on a page in "landscape" orientation and/or you won't have to reduce the printout size so much.
To print in landscape orientation select File|Print Options and select "Landscape" from the Orientation options. Or, if you get the Print Size Alert dialog telling you that the score is too wide when you try to print it out, choose Landscape orientation. If you always prefer to use Landscape orientation, set this preference via File|Set Preferences|Printing so all your new documents use Landscape as the default orientation.
